Great story. Reminds me of how some of the NY Yankees were so hung over while winning in the 1950's.

Broadway Joe didn't do so badly either@

Another good one 📜! It brought back a lot of memories because I never saw one play in that initial championship game on 15 January 1967. I had been in officer mode training school at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas for a week and was trying to get my bearings on how to become an Air Force officer. I remember some of my compatriots went to watch the game at the OT club, and they were talking about what a great game it was etc. etc..

I'll always love reminding my pitiful Green Bay Slackers fans that their precious slackers only won two straight super bowls as the game didn't get its name until year two. Being ten years old for that first game I remember being in the movies. I believe I saw Barbarella then or maybe it was In the Heat of the Night.

My fondest memory of The Collesum was seing the LA Express lose to the New Jersey Generals. Imagine a pro football team named New Jersey! I remember Jersey had a dynamic running back! What a shame the WFL didn't make it.

Didn't I have a real cool employer that owned a WFL team? 😎😎😎😎😎

Thanks Theo, appreciate the words. I too would like to go back in time for one more day as long as I don’t have to play and lose to you in Knucks!

Great trip down memory lane Bronco. I remember watching those early Super Bowls with my dad on our first color TV in our house in Canarsie. Sitting on our couch that was covered in plastic. Like most of us, I would give everything to go back for just one day to relive those moments. Hope you are well. Best to you and Andi.
